About The Book
Set in the violent world of outlaw bikers in northern England and among the vast cinematic landscapes of the Pennines, the backbone of England, the series follows Hadrian's Wall as it runs through the territory of The Brethren Motorcycle Club. This is a landscape scarred by centuries of brutal battles and wars, and the region has become a place of Western-like lawlessness; its isolated surroundings make it the perfect place to airdrop shipments of drugs, hide dead bodies, and avoid law enforcement authorities. Heavy Duty Bikers is a Machiavellian story of power-of first getting it, and then keeping it-and the ruthlessness of politics and big business told from the perspective of high-ranking members; a world in which to survive, a good man must be bad. Traversing themes of greed, love and corruption in the illicit and unconventional organisation, the lead character is an anti-hero, rule breaker, loyal servant to the organisation, and pragmatic murderer. The series is based on six novels by British author Iain Parke: Heavy Duty People, Heavy Duty Attitude, Heavy Duty Trouble, Operation Bourbon, Lord Of The Isles and DILLIGAF.
